BUILDING FUND PROJECT

BEGINNING

We started at this location and for the last 7 years we have committed ourselves to be good stewards of our time, money, and resources. We have been financially responsible, effective, and efficient. God has and remains good to us!

WHERE WE ARE

Because of God’s faithfulness, we have outgrown our current location…it’s a good problem to have: 

    1. Inadequate sitting facility

    2. Inadequate space for children ministry

    3. Inadequate space for pastoral office

    4. Inadequate space for youth/fellowship hall 

    5. Inadequate space for growth.

 
Therefore; In March 2022, we saw and purchased a building on 7609 93 Ave. N. It was being sold for $467,000 (four hundred and sixty-seven thousand). We purchased it, spending over $15,000 for assessment and a down payment of $167,000 (One hundred and sixty-seven thousand dollars). We took a loan of $300,000 (three hundred thousand).

 
CHALLENGES FACED

After purchasing the building and originally getting approval from the City of Brooklyn Park, we were then informed that we needed:

   1. Increase the parking lot (Impossible)

   2. Install three light poles (approximately $15, 000 each)

   3. Install sprinkler system (approximately $40,000)

   4. Remodel to become a sanctuary.

 
WE HAD THREE OPTIONS

  1. Sell and start all over/sue the city.

  2. Try to meet their conditions and rent parking spaces.

  3. Pay it off: Use the money to buy a real church facility or use it as    a collateral to purchase another. (The leadership decided on the last option).

 
WHAT WE DID

We embarked on a vigorous campaign to pay off the facility in 3 years; paying $100,000 each year. To date, we owe the bank: $73,000 (seventy three thousand dollars). 

 
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

 1. Make a commitment— take a Building Fund Pledge Card and give.

  2. Spend time praying for God’s provision and for others to be faithful.

  3. Share the vision with others. People are looking for a good cause. 

  4. Let us trust God together.

Haggai 1:8 - Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the

house: and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, said the LORD. Remember: If the vision is not bigger than us, we don’t need God's intervention.
